2022 Preview
The Wolverines welcome in new head coach in veteran Darrell Barbay following a 10-year stint in Jasper, TX.
Mansfield will be in a rebuilding phase with a new coach, a new system and new faces while entering a brand new district after dropping down from Class 3A. The Wolverine do welcome back senior quarterback Dakeldrick Thomas (2,205 yards, 23 TDs passing) to take command of the offense along with senior tight end Nick Bailey as well as receiver Nick Davis.
On defense, junior defensive end Terrance Pegues is expected to be a leader while top tackler Trey Dewitt also returns for his senior season.
As the newest member of District 3-2A, Mansfield will have the opportunity to thrive in a league with Many, Red River, Jonesboro-Hodge, Lakeview, and Winnfield. In non-district, the Wolverines face off against some of north Louisiana's best programs in Calvary Baptist, Ouachita Christian, Evangel, Logansport as well as Huntington.
