Lamar Brown – University Lab – 2026

University Lab’s Lamar Brown, 6’4″, 285, makes his presence felt on both sides of the ball. Last week, he committed to LSU, choosing the Tigers over offers from Texas A&M, Miami, Texas, and others. An LSWA honorable mention all-state selection in 2024, Brown also touts a strong background in track & field, winning an indoor state title in the shot put and capturing an outdoor gold medal in the discus as a junior.

Cam Bagwell – Sterlington – 2027

Sterlington’s Cam Bagwell made a major impact as a sophomore in 2024, helping lead the Panthers to a State Title with 8 tackles and 1.5 sacks in the state championship victory over St. James. Jakias Villanueva – St. James – 2026

Jakias Villanueva proved to be one of the most electric playmakers in Louisiana during the 2024 season. The wide receiver and return specialist hauled in 76 receptions for over 1,000 yards and added more than 300 return yards, earning LSWA all-state honors as a receiver. He was also named 7-3A all-district offensive MVP and all-district return specialist.

Javen Holmes – Madison Prep – 2026

Ranked as the No. 26 player in Louisiana’s 2026 class by On3, Javen Holmes is a ball-hawking safety who brings size and toughness to the Chargers’ secondary. He committed to Houston over offers from Mississippi State, Tulane, Memphis, and others. The Chargers were one step away from the dome in 2024. Holmes looks to bring them back to a state title game for the first time since 2020.

Jack Landry – Erath – 2026

Erath’s Jack Landry proved to be one of the top offensive weapons in District 5-3A during the 2024 season. The quarterback was named district offensive MVP and earned first-team all-district honors. He also received LSWA honorable mention all-state recognition while helping lead the Bobcats to a regional playoff appearance in 2024.

Landry’s skills extend to the baseball diamond as well. He played a vital role in Erath’s run to the state championship series in 2025, hitting .333 with 36 hits and 25 RBIs.
