Cedar Creek and Northlake Christian Dominate Day 2 of LHSAA Powerlifting State Championships

KENNER – The 2025 LHSAA Powerlifting State Championships continued with an action-packed Day 2 at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner, where the Division IV and V girls took center stage. Cedar Creek secured its fourth consecutive Division V state championship, while Northlake Christian captured the Division IV title in dominant fashion.
The championship meet saw several standout performances, including Bella Hawthorne of Northlake Christian (775 total pounds) and Taylor Durham of Northlake Christian (875 total pounds) leading Division IV. Cedar Creek’s Joanie Cannon (585 total pounds) and Avery Bourn (875 total pounds) contributed to their team’s championship streak in Division V.
