Evangel Named GeauxPreps Football Team of the Week

Evangel extended their winning streak to three games with a statement 56-42 victory over Lafayette Christian Academy on Friday, putting them at No. 24 in the Division I Select playoff standings.
This win was especially meaningful, as it served as redemption from their last matchup in 2020.
Peyton Houston was great once again for the Eagles, completing 74% of his passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns, while adding 35 yards on the ground.
Joshua Isaac Jr. also had a strong performance, racking up 114 total yards and two touchdowns
With a 4-5 record, Evangel will look to secure a playoff spot as they prepare to host Parkway on Friday night.
