Week 10 in Louisiana high school football did not disappoint! We saw record-breaking runs, huge catches, and defenses making those game-changing stops just when it mattered.
Jayden Miles – Catholic High

Jayden Miles was unstoppable in Catholic High’s 73-55 shootout win over Zachary, earning himself GeauxPreps Offensive Player of the Week. The Bears’ running back piled up 179 rushing yards with six rushing touchdowns, plus a receiving touchdown to top things off.
Jayden punched it in from all over the field—taking it in from 3, 4, 5, and 8 yards out, and even breaking loose for a 45-yard score. When Catholic needed a play, he delivered, lifting his team to victory and turning in one of the most impressive performances of the season.
JOHN JOHNSON – EDNA KARR

Jewel Sumner’s Jamohn Dyson came up big when it mattered most, earning him GeauxPreps Defensive Player of the Week. Dyson was a force on defense with 9 tackles, helping lock down a tight 29-27 win over Amite and bringing home the Cowboys’ first district title in 20 years.
But he didn’t stop there—Dyson also racked up 203 yards and a touchdown on offense, and then iced the game with a two-point conversion to seal the deal. It was a huge night for Dyson and an unforgettable win for the Cowboys.
Brodie Stuart – Oak Grove

Wide receiver Brodie Stuart made a huge impact in Oak Grove’s 44-14 win over Ouachita Christian, showing off his playmaking abilities all game.
Stuart hauled in 7 receptions for 107 yards and found the endzone twice, leading Oak Grove’s offense and keeping the pressure on the Ouachita Christian defense. His big catches helped set the tone for a win.
Jaiden Elly – De La Salle

Jaiden Elly was unstoppable in De La Salle’s 49-8 victory over Livingston Collegiate, leading the defense with 6 sacks for 20 yards. His relentless effort set a new school record, as the DLS defense broke the previous single-game sack record of 10, with 11 sacks.
Elly’s standout performance was supported by teammates Jackson Perdue, Ronyell Elzie, and Da’Sean Nisby, who combined for 5 more sacks.
Tyrese Boast – Church Point

Running back Tyrese Boast was unstoppable in Church Point’s 55-28 win over Ville Platte, racking up 303 yards on 22 carries and scoring 4 touchdowns. Boast tore through the defense with ease, breaking off big plays and showing his speed and power.
His huge night helped keep the scoreboard moving and secured a commanding win for Church Point, making him the star of the game.
Brett West – St. Paul’s

Saint Paul’s linebacker Brett West was a standout on defense in their 38-28 win over Covington, tallying 11 total tackles and grabbing 2 interceptions.
His all-around performance was crucial in Saint Paul’s victory, proving he’s a difference-maker on both ends of the field.
JT LINDSEY – ALEXANDRIA

LSU running back commit JT Lindsey powered his team to a dominant 42-16 victory over Neville, securing the 2-5A crown.
Lindsey rushed for 206 yards and scored two touchdowns on 30 carries, consistently grinding out tough yards and breaking through for big gains.
His relentless effort and playmaking ability kept the offense moving and sealed a championship win, showing exactly why he’s headed to LSU.
Roderick Tezeno – Opelousas Catholic

Opelousas Catholic’s wide receiver Roderick Tezeno delivered a show-stopping performance in their 56-32 win over previously unbeaten Catholic-PC.
Tezeno hauled in 6 catches for 146 yards and scored 4 touchdowns.
His explosive plays were crucial in securing the upset, proving he’s a game-changer every time he touches the ball.
John Johnson – Edna Karr

Edna Karr quarterback John Johnson was unstoppable in their 69-28 win over Rummel, leading his team to a district title.
Johnson completed 19 of 29 passes for 389 yards and accounted for 6 total touchdowns—3 through the air and 3 on the ground.
His dual-threat ability kept Rummel’s defense guessing all game, and his pinpoint passing and powerful rushing made him the undeniable star of the night, sealing a statement win for Edna Karr.
Seth Aucoin – St. Edmund

St. Edmund’s wide receiver Seth Aucoin made every catch count in their 42-27 victory over Westminster Christian, turning just 3 receptions into an incredible 180 yards and 3 touchdowns.
