
GeauxPreps Impact Players from Week 7: Standout Performances Across Louisiana

Week 7 was full of excitement across Louisiana! Quarterbacks made clutch throws, running backs and receivers delivered big plays, and defenses stepped up with key stops and turnovers. Special teams players also made their mark with game-changing moments, helping their teams secure critical wins as we make our way down the stretch.
Baylor Graves – Catholic High

Catholic High’s quarterback Baylor Graves was on fire in their 35-17 win over Central, showing off his accuracy and poise under pressure.
Graves completed 21 of 24 passes, racking up 234 yards through the air with 2 touchdown strikes.
Not just a passer, he also chipped in 33 yards on 5 rushes, keeping the Central defense on their toes all night.
With Graves at the helm, Catholic’s offense looked sharp and balanced, getting the job done both on the ground and through the air.
Jacob Weaver – Central Private

Jacob Weaver was a dominant force in Central Private’s 8-0 win over Varnado, putting on a defensive clinic.
Weaver racked up 14 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks, wreaking havoc in the backfield all night.
He even forced a fumble to cap off his standout performance. His relentless energy helped the Redhawks hold Varnado scoreless.
Javon Vital – Hamilton Christian

Javon Vital put on a show for Hamilton Christian in their 46-22 win over Elton, accounting for seven touchdowns.
He was unstoppable on the ground, rushing for 247 yards on 19 carries with 5 touchdowns, averaging 13 yards per carry. Vital also threw for 54 yards, completing 4 of 5 passes with a touchdown.
As if that wasn’t enough, he picked off a pass and returned a kickoff 55 yards for a score.
In a key district win over a tough 5-1 Elton team, Javon was the ultimate game-changer, carrying Hamilton Christian to victory.
Reid Chauvin – Episcopal

Reid Chauvin was a workhorse for the Episcopal Knights in their 41-22 victory over Slaughter Charter, putting the team on his back with 30 carries for 192 yards and an impressive 6 touchdowns.
Chauvin seemed unstoppable, finding the end zone at will and consistently moving the chains.
His performance powered the Knights to a big win, as he made sure Episcopal stayed in control from start to finish.
Zyon Simmons – Terrebonne

Zyon Simmons was a game-wrecker for Terrebonne in their 42-8 win over East St. John.
From his spot on the defensive line, Simmons racked up 10 total tackles, including 6 solo stops, and was constantly in the backfield with 4 tackles for loss, pushing the offense back 16 yards.
He also notched a sack for a 9-yard loss and even blocked a punt to cap off his dominant performance. Simmons’ impact on both defense and special teams helped the Tigers in a lopsided victory.
Jayden Reed – Neville

Jayden Reed had a huge game for Neville in their nail-biting 26-21 win over Ruston. The junior cornerback was a standout on defense, racking up 10 tackles and making sure Ruston’s offense had a tough time moving the ball.
But the real highlight came on special teams when he took a kickoff to the house for a touchdown, giving his team a big boost.
Reed’s energy and playmaking ability were key to Neville’s victory, proving he can make an impact wherever he’s on the field!
Floyd Flugence – Crowley

Floyd Flugence was on fire for Crowley High in their 44-12 win over Pine Prairie, making the most of every touch. On just 8 carries, he racked up 160 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns, averaging a ridiculous 20 yards per carry.
But he didn’t stop there—Flugence also took a kickoff 65 yards to the house and returned a punt 55 yards for another score.
In total, he found the end zone 6 times on only 8 touches, putting on a clinic in a dominant performance.
Dylan Vital – LCCP

Dylan Vital was unstoppable for Lake Charles College Prep in their 46-6 win over St. Louis Catholic. The Blazers’ quarterback was perfect, completing 20 of 20 passes for 375 yards and tossing 7 touchdowns.
He was in complete control of the game, carving up the defense with pinpoint accuracy.
Even with one interception, Vital’s performance was nothing short of dominant, leading his team to a blowout victory in style.
Julius Moss – Calvary

Julius Moss came up big for Calvary in their 24-15 win over Union Parish.
He carried the ball 19 times for 112 tough yards, adding a 7-yard reception, and punched in 3 touchdowns to help secure the victory.
Moss was clutch all game, finding the end zone when it mattered most and keeping the offense in motion. His performance was a key factor in Calvary’s big win.
Eric Anderson – Chalmette

Eric Anderson was a force for Chalmette in their dominant 27-0 win over Northshore.
The defensive standout recorded 10 tackles and 3 sacks, wreaking havoc on Northshore’s offense all night.
Anderson’s relentless pressure helped the defense pitch a shutout, proving to be a key piece in Chalmette’s big win.
