GeauxPreps names impact players from Week 4

Jaden Celestine – Ovey Comeaux (RB)

Jaden Celestine powered Comeaux to a 41-38 victory over Rayne, rushing for 202 yards and six touchdowns. Celestine saved his biggest moment for last, breaking tackles around the edge to score the game-winning touchdown as time expired, sealing a Week 4 win for the Spartans.

Jeffrey Curtis – John Curtis (LB)

Defensive Player of the Week went to to Jeffrey Curtis of John Curtis, who anchored the Patriots’ defense in a 21-19 win over Rummel. Curtis recorded 12 tackles, including one for loss, and added a quarterback hurry to help secure the victory. The Patriots improved to 3-0 and will face Warren Easton this weekend.

Bryce Restovich – Loyola (QB)

Restovich led Loyola to a 56-0 win over previously undefeated Southwood, throwing for 234 yards and six touchdowns. The Flyers are off to a hot start and will host Minden this weekend.

Logan Rogers – Patrick Taylor (RB)

Patrick Taylor’s Logan Rogers was a workhorse in their 34-26 win over Kenner Discovery, rushing for 222 yards and multiple touchdowns. Rogers’ explosive runs were key in pulling away late to secure the win.

Luke Vidrine – Ouachita Christian (QB)

OCS quarterback Luke Vidrine guided the Eagles to another big win. A 52-0 win over Madison, completing 8 of 9 passes for 189 yards and four touchdowns. The Eagles look to improve to 5-0 at Rayville this weekend.

Javon Vital – (QB)

Elite playmaker Javon Vital put on a show in a 48-13 win over St. John, rushing 15 times for 362 yards and five touchdowns while adding 134 passing yards and a 98-yard punt return. Vital totaled 496 yards, showcasing his dynamic all-around ability.

Ma’Kelin Lemoine – Elton (RB)

Lemoine is the state’s leader with 81 carries for 1,096 yards (13.5 yards per carry) and 18 touchdowns. He’s recorded 505 yards, and he’s responsible for 19 touchdowns with a kickoff return for a touchdown in last week’s 49-0 win over Gueydan

Xzavier White – Alexandria (LB)

Xzavier White leads one of the state’s top teams in Alexandria, piling up eight tackles, three tackles for loss, three sacks, and a pass breakup in a 59-6 win over Opelousas.

Maximo Barrios – Brother Martin (K)

Brother Martin relied on Maximo Barrios to secure a late victory over Rummel, as the kicker drilled a 38-yard field goal with seconds remaining to cap a clutch drive to win it for the Crusaders.

Christian Ponti – West Monroe (RB)

Christian Ponti, the workhorse for West Monroe, rushed 26 times for 144 yards and two touchdowns, and adding two receptions in a win over #2 Catholic High.

Aiden Hall – Edna Karr (S)

LSU commit Aiden Hall was all over the field for Edna Karr in their 42-3 win over Holy Cross, contributing a blocked punt and continuing an already impressive season as a standout safety.

Nathan Contine – (RB/WR)

Nathan Contine helped lead St. Michael to a 35-7 victory over Belaire, rushing 15 times for 111 yards with two touchdowns and adding a receiving touchdown on 37 yards.
