GeauxPreps Names Impact Players from Week 7

Trevin Simon – Ascension Catholic
Ascension Catholic’s Trevin Simon put on a historic performance in a 57-35 win over St. John, carrying the ball 34 times for 519 yards and seven touchdowns.
Brice Preston – Liberty
Liberty quarterback Brice Preston delivered one of the biggest upsets of the season, guiding the Patriots to a 52-31 road win over previously undefeated Zachary. Preston racked up 184 passing yards, 133 rushing yards, and six total touchdowns.
Dax Pregeant – St. Charles Catholic
St. Charles Catholic’s Dax Pregeant made plays in all three phases during the Comets’ 35-31 win over Legacy (TX). Pregeant tallied 12 tackles, one tackle for loss, an interception returned 75 yards for a touchdown, and even added an 80-yard kickoff return for another score.
Daniel Thomas – Many
Many’s Daniel Thomas had quite the night in the Tigers’ 61-40 win over Winnfield, rushing for 324 yards and seven touchdowns.
Donnie Critton – Haynesville
Haynesville’s Donnie Critton made the most of his touches in a 62-20 rout of Cedar Creek, carrying the ball eight times for 93 yards and three touchdowns.
Sam Hartwell – Ruston
Ruston quarterback Sam Hartwell engineered the most remarkable comeback of the season, leading the Bearcats to a 41-37 win after trailing Neville 37-20 with under 10 minutes to play. Hartwell finished with 328 total yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winning strike to Josiah Morgan in the closing moments.
Jeremyah Merriweather – East Ascension
East Ascension’s Jeremyah Merriweather was electric in a 49-48 shootout win over St. Amant. He hauled in six catches for 161 yards and three touchdowns and adding another score on the ground.
Kameron Casnave – Northlake Christian
In a defensive slugfest, Northlake Christian’s Kameron Casnave provided the offensive spark the Wolverines needed. Casnave rushed 23 times for 110 yards in a 14-0 road victory over Pope John Paul II.
Mark Rhodes Jr. – The Willow School
Willow’s Mark Rhodes Jr. etched his name in the record books with a school-record 305 rushing yards in a 36-24 victory over Acadiana Renaissance. He scored four touchdowns, including two long fourth-quarter runs of 11 and 80 yards that put the game out of reach for the Wildcats.
Brennan Miles – Plaquemine
Plaquemine quarterback Brennan Miles was lights out in a 53-21 win over St. Michael, completing a six-touchdown performance through the air. Miles threw for 262 yards and spread the ball around to five different receivers.
