Glenbrook is turning to a familiar face to lead its football program, naming Greg Tibbitt as the Apaches’ new head coach. Tibbitt, who previously coached Glenbrook from 2012 to 2013, returns to Minden after a successful stint at Green Forest High School (AR), where he guided the program to its first-ever 4A playoff berth.

Tibbitt’s first run with Glenbrook saw him compile a 15-9 record, including a 9-4 season and a trip to the MAIS semifinals in 2013. Now, he’s back and ready to build on the Apaches’ momentum after a 5-3 finish last season, including a 4-2 mark in district play.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to return to Glenbrook,” Tibbitt said in a release from the school. “This program has a strong foundation, and I’m eager to develop a championship-caliber team that can sustain success for years to come.”

Glenbrook Athletic Director James Thurman, who coached alongside Tibbitt during his previous tenure, believes the program is in good hands. “He built a culture of hard work and accountability, and his players respected and admired him,” Thurman said. “There’s no doubt he’ll bring that same standard back to Glenbrook.”

With Tibbitt back at the helm, the Apaches are looking to take the next step in their development. His return marks a new chapter for the program, and expectations are high as Glenbrook prepares for the 2025 season.
