Historic Night: Evangel’s Peyton Houston Throws for 817 Yards, Breaks NFHS Record

There is a new single-game passing leader in the National Federation of High Schools Record Books.
Evangel Christian Academy’s Peyton Houston etched his name into high school football history Thursday night, setting a new National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) record by going for 53/68, 817 yards, and 8 touchdowns in a 77-76 overtime loss to Captain Shreve.
Houston became the first quarterback to ever surpass 800 passing yards in a single game.
He also contributed 88 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns.
Despite the narrow loss, Houston’s record-breaking night solidified his status as one of high school football’s most remarkable talents, rewriting the record books with his historic achievement.
