Neville Named GeauxPreps Football Team of the Week

Neville has been named the GeauxPreps Team of the Week after a shootout victory over Calvary Baptist, snapping the Cavaliers’ 15-game win streak.

This marks the second consecutive weekend the Tigers have traveled to Shreveport to face elite competition, and for the second straight week, they’ve returned to Monroe with a win.

Neville’s defense buckled down and made the plays to keep Abram Wardell (6 touchdown passes) and Kolby Thomas (4 touchdown catches) out of the endzone one final time. Neville’s Jayson Parker iced the game with a tipped pass on Wardell’s 4th down attempt in the final minutes.

In a high-scoring affair, Jaylon Nicholas powered Neville’s offense, rushing for 149 yards on 18 carries. Tardashi Lemons added another 105 yards on 18 carries, giving the Tigers a relentless ground attack. Neville Quarterback Parker Robinson also delivered an efficient performance, completing 11 of 14 passes for 148 yards.

The Tigers hope to continue their win streak against Holmes County Central (MS) on Friday night.
