There was a crawfish boil. And anticipation boiling over for Oak Grove High basketball star Caroline Bradley’s college commitment announcement Monday night.
The 6-foot-5 Bradley delivered, announcing her commitment to LSU Monday night in front of a large crowd at her home in Oak Grove.
When Bradley took off her letterman’s jacket to reveal a T-shirt that said, “Going South., the crowd that featured some wearing LSU gear, erupted and cheered as she put on a sweater trimmed in purple and gold adorned with Tigers. Chants of LSU broke out.
Bradley then moved a computer to share of live stream of LSU coach Kim Mulkey.
“I wish a could be there with you all,” Mulkey said. “This is a blessed day. We’ve been working hard in the portal today. This is the best news.”
Bradley, a five-star recruit and the top-rated post player in the class of 2027, is a top five prospect overall ahead of her senior season. She selected the Lady Tigers from a list of finalists that also includes newly crowned national champion UCLA, South Carolina, Alabama, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Duke and Oklahoma.

A family Facebook post over the weekend listed Bradley’s finalists and noted, “All are invited to see which team it will be.”
As a junior, Bradley led Oak Grove to the Division III nonselect semifinals last month. She averaged 27 points, 17.6 rebounds, 3.4 blocks, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals. Bradley scored her 2,000th career point during the season.
In addition to leading her high school to three LHSAA tourney berths, she claimed Louisiana’s Miss Basketball award in 2025 from the Louisiana Sports Writers Association and is a two-time Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year.

Bradley also helped lead the Under-16 USA Basketball squad that won the gold medal at the FIBA U16 AmeriCup in Mexico.
She is LSU’s most heralded Louisiana post recruit since former Vandebilt Catholic star Theresa Plaisance (2010-14), who helped LSU to two Sweet 16 berths before a nine-year professional career in the WNBA and overseas.
