Ouachita Parish Named Sharpest Team of the Month After November Run

Few teams in the state have surged at the right time quite like Ouachita Parish over the month of November. Named the Sharpest Team of the Month presented by Sharp Athletics, the Lions tore through their season finale and through the playoffs stacking wins.
CLOSING THE REGULAR SEASON WITH AUTHORITY
Ouachita Parish set the tone in the first week of November. On the 6th, the Lions dominated Pineville 56–0, a wire-to-wire performance that launched them into the postseason with momentum as the #14 seed in Division I (Non-Select) bracket.
PLAYOFF MAGIC IN NOVEMBER
From there, the Lions caught fire – three weeks, three playoff wins, three thrillers.
November 14 – Bi-District Round:
Ouachita edged #19 St. Amant, 24–21
November 21 – Regional Round:
The Lions took down #3 Destrehan, 21–19, in a defensive battle that showed this run was no fluke.
November 28 – Quarterfinals:
On the road against #6 Parkway, Ouachita delivered once again. A strong defensive effort to hold down one of the best offenses in the state gave the Lions a 28-22 win over the Panthers.
Across their three playoff victories, Ouachita’s defense has allowed an average of just 20.7 points per game.
LOOKING AHEAD
For the first time in 20 years, Ouachita Parish is headed to the state semifinals, where they’ll square off with #2 Neville for a spot in the Caesars Superdome. The Lions are also chasing their first state championship since 1994, and with the way they’ve battled through November, they look every bit like a team capable of completing a storybook run.
