Showcasing Excellence: The 2024 All-GeauxPreps Large School Football Team

The 2024 All-GeauxPreps Large School Team celebrates the elite talent from Louisiana’s top high school football classifications, covering Classes 3A through 5A across both Select and Non-Select divisions. These standout student-athletes were selected for their exceptional performances and contributions to their teams’ success throughout the 2024 season.
Alexandria’s JT Lindsey earned the GeauxPreps Offensive MVP after a stellar 2024 season. The senior running back and LSU signee racked up nearly 2,500 rushing yards, 33 touchdowns, and added 248 receiving yards with three scores.
Defensively, Sterlington’s Tre Burch took home Defensive MVP honors after an unforgettable season. The senior linebacker led his team to a state championship victory over St. James. Burch’s leadership and playmaking ability were central to one of the best defenses in the state, solidifying his status as one of Louisiana’s top defensive players.
Edna Karr and Ruston led all schools with four All-GeauxPreps selections each, while other schools such as Airline, Sterlington, Alexandria, Bunkie, St. Thomas More with 2. The 2024 All-GeauxPreps Large School Team highlights the depth of talent across Louisiana and celebrates the student-athletes who left a lasting mark on the Louisiana high school football landscape.

Offensive MVP: JT Lindsey, Alexandria
Alexandria’s JT Lindsey, the GeauxPreps Offensive MVP, put on a show in 2024, proving why he’s one of the top high school football players in the state. A consensus 4-star recruit, Lindsey is ranked among the best running backs in the nation, holding the No. 8 spot according to 247Sports and Rivals, and No. 4 overall in the state. He racked up just under 2,500 rushing yards and 33 touchdowns, plus 248 receiving yards and three more scores, showing off his all-around playmaking ability. Lindsey was the driving force behind the Trojan’s run to the Division I Select state championship game, including a 252-yard, two-touchdown performance in the semifinals against John Curtis.

Defensive MVP: Tre Burch, Sterlington
Sterlington’s linebacker Tre Burch was the heart and soul of his team’s defense in 2024, leading them to a state championship victory over St. James. A tackling machine, Burch racked up 153 tackles, 7 sacks, and 3 fumble recoveries over the season, consistently making big plays when it mattered most. His leadership and relentless energy set the tone for Sterlington’s defense, which proved to be one of the best in the state. Burch’s championship performance capped off a phenomenal season, cementing his place as one of Louisiana’s top defensive playmakers.
