All eyes on the north
North Louisiana was the center of attention Friday night. Dramatic finishes and one program celebrated one of the biggest wins in its history.
Ruston moved to 3-0 in walk-off fashion with a 38-35 win over Longview (TX). Joaquin Ramos booted a 13-yard field goal as the clock hit zero. Ruston’s star tight-end, Ahmad Hudson, had another huge game with 106 yards 2 touchdowns.

North DeSoto traveled to storied West Monroe on Friday night and came away with one of the biggest wins in school history. The Griffins jumped out to a 17–0 lead, watched the Rebels storm back with 28 unanswered, then closed with 22 straight points to seal it. Final: North DeSoto 39, West Monroe 28.
“We beat them at what they do, we were able to run the football,” Head Coach Dennis Dunn told Tim Fletcher on Friday Football Frenzy. Dunn added, “I’ve never seen West Monroe quit, but I felt like there about halfway through the 4th quarter, they threw in the towel.”

After a tough loss to Neville in Week 2, Calvary came looking for redemption and found it against Class 4A’s top-ranked Franklin Parish and LSU commit Dezyrian Ellis.
Behind a massive performance from one of our preseason players to watch, Braylun Huglon, who starred on both sides of the ball and delivered a 103-yard pick six to finish the first half, the Cavaliers held on for a 33–30 victory.
