The Willow School vs Sophie B. Wright

The Willow School and Sophie B. Wright battled deep into the Friday night lights in an overtime thriller. With under three minutes left, Wright scored to take a 42-34 lead, but Tyrell Johnson’s blocked extra point kept the Lions within striking distance. Willow answered as Kaiden Thomas connected with Ahmad Vappie for a 19-yard touchdown with just two seconds remaining, then found Mark Rhodes for the game-tying two-point conversion.

In overtime, Wright struck first to go up 49-42, Willow responded with a three-yard touchdown run from Rhodes. The Lions went for the win, and Thomas muscled in behind his offensive line on the two-point conversion to seal the 50-49 victory.

Catholic (BR) vs Madison-Ridgeland (MS)

A wild ending in Baton Rouge… late in the 4th, Catholic’s Jayden Miles scores on a 52-yard touchdown run to make it a 1 point game at 27-26. The Bears fail on the 2-point conversion attempting to take the lead.

As Madison-Ridgeland attempted to run the clock out, it appeared that the Catholic forced a fumble to get the ball back but the runner was ruled down. What do you see?

He didn’t just score, he stuck the landing!

Collin Dibetta cartwheeled his way into the end zone, giving Acadiana a highlight-reel moment in the Rams’ 62-0 rout of Sulphur.
