The Arms Race

Week 6 is in the books, and Louisiana’s top quarterbacks are showing no signs of slowing down…

Peyton Houston – Evangel (2,065 yards, 21 TDs)

The 2027 LSU commit is on a revenge tour this fall. After last year’s wild 77–76 overtime loss to Captain Shreve, Houston and the Eagles made a statement, hanging 71 on the board in this year’s rematch while holding the Gators offense, with a hobbled Jamarcea Plater, to just 25. Houston threw for 175 yards and four touchdowns as Evangel continued to flex one of the most explosive offenses in the state.

Elijah Haven – Dunham (1,758 yards, 30 TDs)

The No. 1 quarterback in the country for the class of 2027, according to On3, hasn’t slowed down one bit. Haven led the Tigers to a 62–6 rout of Capitol in Week 6, tossing for 200 yards and six touchdowns. The Tigers are rolling at 5-1 and look like another trip to the dome is in order.

Bryce Restovich – Loyola (1,855 yards, 29 TDs)

The Flyers are 6–0 for a reason, and Restovich is at the heart of it. Coming off a 56–26 win over Bossier on Thursday night, he added 300 yards and six more touchdowns to his resume. Bryce might not be on On3’s radar yet, but it’s only a matter of time before that changes.

Keleb Williams – Parkway (1,599 yards, 25 TDs)
Williams and the Panthers are off to a perfect 6–0 start after a 48–43 thriller over Airline. The senior has been the sparkplug for Parkway’s high-powered attack, tossing 25 touchdowns through six games while keeping his team unbeaten and in full control of district play.
