Three Louisiana high school baseball teams have earned spots in Perfect Game’s Top 50 high school teams in the country.
#12 Catholic-BR
Leading the charge is Catholic High-Baton Rouge, ranked No. 12 after a dominant 32-2 season, including a 9-0 mark in district play. Powered by LSU signee William Schmidt, the Bears captured the Division I Select state championship with a 5-0 victory over John Curtis.
Catholic is primed for a strong 2025 with key returners, including LSU signee Jack Ruckert, a top player in the 2025 class. They also bring back catcher Andrew Clapinski and Noah Lewis, along with sophomore Harrison Kidder (OF), Taylor Goldsmith (OF), and Lucas Lawrence (LHP), adding to an already deep roster.

#22 West Monroe
Coming in at No. 22 in the country is West Monroe, the reigning Division I Non-Select state champions. The Rebels finished 25-7 overall and 9-1 in district play, capping off their season with a 5-1 win over Barbe for the state title.
West Monroe will return LSU commit Bradyn Cupit and a host of others for their 2025 quest to repeat, with senior right-hander and Louisiana Tech signee Andrew Ferguson leading the charge on the mound. They also have one of the better catchers in the state in Tyler Roark, adding to their strong core as they look to defend their title.
#24 Barbe
At No. 24, Barbe remains a national powerhouse after posting a 29-5 record with a 15-1 district run in 2024. The Bucs fell just short of the state championship but return a strong core, including Texas A&M commit J.D. Alexander (OF/RHP), ULL commit Myles Ledoux (INF/C), and, as usual, a talented supporting cast.
The Bucs have one of the top-ranked catchers in the 2025 class in Texas signee Presley Courville and also return a top-10 talent LSU commit Jordin Griffin. With another deep playoff run in sight, the Bucs are hoping for another dogpile in 2025.
