Dezyrian Ellis – Franklin Parish

Dezyrian Ellis set a new personal best in rushing yards on Friday, racking up 171 yards and two touchdowns on just 13 carries. He also threw for 121 yards and two more touchdowns, earning him the title of Week 3 GeauxPreps Offensive Player of the Week. This marks his third consecutive game with two or more rushing touchdowns, dating back to last season. His standout moment came with a jaw-dropping 99-yard touchdown. Franklin Parish completed a stunning upset, taking down defending state champs Calvary Baptist.

Ethan Sipes – C.E. Byrd

Sipes was a force for Byrd, leading the defense with 11 total tackles, including four tackles for loss. His crucial sack and forced fumble on Evangel quarterback Peyton Houston at the Byrd 13-yard line stopped a key Eagles scoring drive, helping Byrd hold onto their 14-10 lead at the time. Byrd went on to defeat Evangel 35-23, handing the Eagles their first-ever home loss in District 1-5A play.
