Week 6: GeauxPreps Names Football Players of the Week
Offensive Player of the Week – Trez Davis, West Monroe
West Monroe’s Trez Davis turned in a heroic performance in the Rebels’ win over previously unbeaten Alexandria.
Playing just two weeks removed from wrist surgery, and with a cast on, Davis hauled in nine passes for 284 total yards and three touchdowns, including a 78-yard game-sealing score in the final minutes. His toughness helped lift West Monroe to 5-1 heading into a home matchup with Ouachita Parish.
Defensive Player of the Week – Jacolby Campbell, Abbeville
Abbeville’s Jacolby Campbell was all over the field in a 24-16 win over Mamou, tallying 11 tackles and a tackle for loss, but it was his forced fumble that swung the momentum for the Wildcats.
Campbell also contributed in a big way on offense with nine receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown. Abbeville travels to Franklinton on Thursday night.
