Week 6: GeauxPreps Offensive and Defensive Football Players of the Week

Dedric Lastie – Riverside Academy

Riverside Academy’s Dedric Lastie put on a show for the ages, putting up 540 total yards and an unbelievable nine touchdowns in a 76-37 victory over St. Martin’s.

Lastie was unstoppable on the ground, rushing for eight touchdowns, and added a receiving score to cap off one of the best individual performances of the season.

His electrifying effort powered Riverside to a big win, earning Lastie well-deserved recognition as one of the GeauxPreps Offensive Players of the Week.


Peyton Houston – Evangel

Evangel’s Peyton Houston delivered a record-breaking performance that will be remembered for years.

Houston shattered the national single-game passing record, throwing for an astounding 817 yards, according to the NFHS Record Books.

His 49 completions tied him for 5th All-Time, while his 10 total touchdowns rank 12th All-Time in high school football history.

This historic outing earned Houston well-deserved recognition as one of the GeauxPreps Offensive Players of the Week.


Mason Depriest – Sulphur

Sulphur’s Mason DePriest was a force to be reckoned with in a 28-21 victory over New Iberia, delivering a standout performance that helped secure the win.

DePriest racked up 7 tackles, broke up 2 passes, and came up with a crucial interception. He also recovered a key fumble, playing a pivotal role in stalling New Iberia’s offense and swinging momentum in Sulphur’s favor.
