Week 7: GeauxPreps Names Football Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week – Brice Preston, Liberty
Liberty quarterback Brice Preston delivered in one of the biggest upsets of the season, leading the Patriots to a 52-31 road victory over previously unbeaten Zachary.
Preston piled up 184 yards through the air, 133 on the ground, and six total touchdowns. The Patriots, now at 4-3, look to keep it rolling this week as they host 2024 state champion, Central.
Defensive Player of the Week — Jaimason Marzell, Lafayette Christian
On the other side of the ball, Jaimason Marzell anchored LCA’s defense in a tough road matchup against the LSWA’s No. 5-ranked Notre Dame. Marzell racked up 17 tackles, four tackles for loss, and a sack, constantly disrupting the Pioneers’ rhythm.
The Knights enter Week 8 with a 6-1 record and hit the road to face Welsh. They currently hold the No. 1 spot in the GeauxPreps Select Division III Power Ratings.
