Team roster

Head coach Matt Dufresne is banking on a difficult non-district schedule to get his team to where it needs to be come time for the postseason.

In his third year at the helm, Dufresne has scheduled several larger schools to test the strength of his Tiger squad including the likes of Westlake, South Beauregard as well as several traditional programs in Loreauville, St. Mary's and Rosepine.

With a heavy talented linemen group coming back along with three-year starter Reese Ashworth, the offense looks to carry the momentum early . Ashworth brings back over 1,700 offensive yards both through the air and on the ground last season and hopes to play a key part in DeQuincy's success.

Defensively, the Tigers switch to a 3-4 scheme with the goal of providing more speed on the field and versatility to defend against spread offenses. Special teams are led by our talented sophomore kicker in Kohen Cormier, an all-district selection as a freshman.

In addition to a tough pre-district schedule, the Tigers will have their hands full with a talent-ladened District 5-2A. DeQuincy is set to host Vinton, Notre Dame and newcomer Grand Lake while making trips to Welsh and Lake Arthur.
