2022 Preview

Angel Cardona started his coaching career out of high school working as the offensive line coach for his alma mater, Antilles High School (DODEA) in Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico.

His time in Puerto Rico includes stops on both sides of the football at the varsity level and head coaching experience at the junior varsity level. Having moved to Louisiana with his wife and kids in the midst of the pandemic in 2020, he has had stops as a middle school head coach and as the varsity offensive line coach at East Jefferson High School, where he helped the team reach the first round playoffs.

Cardona's hopes to instill an attitude of winning in a team that has not enjoyed success since a state championship victory in 2013. To do so, the Warrior staff will have to take a young team and mold them into winners quickly against a competitive schedule.

To help them do so, Jalen Guillard returns under center to lead five other returning starters in the offensive attack while Charles Atkins and Manny Aguilar hope to jumpstart a young defensive unit.
