2022 Preview

Head coach Justin Charles is expecting big things out of his Eagle squad in year three under his leadership. With 14 total starters coming back, Holy Savior Menard could have the experience needed to improve on a one-win season a year ago and make a push to compete for a district title inside a strong league.

Offensively, seven starters return including junior slinger Mike Henry II as well as rusher Rubin Seastrunk to deliver the ground attack while the line will be headed up by senior Brock Bordelon.

On defense, linebackers David Roberts and Cooper Scott lead the fray as they team up with contributors Gage Cappel and Cole Smith.

The Eagles open the season with two consecutive home games against St. Frederick and Pineville before hitting the road to Natchitoches to take on St. Mary's. Other non-district contests include a home game against Sacred Heart of Ville Platte and a road game at Opelousas Catholic.

In league play, Menard hosts Pickering and Rosepine while traveling to last year's semifinals Avoyelles as well as Oakdale. The Eagles end the season on the road at Glen Oaks in a non-district tilt.
