A Message From GeauxPreps.com Owner Hunter Bower

GeauxPreps Nation,

As most of you know, my family and I were impacted by the extensive damage Hurricane Laura caused two weeks ago. I must admit that most of my attention has been focused on getting my home repaired and making sure that my family and friends need anything and everything that I can offer.

With that said, the coverage we have strived to bring you here on GeauxPreps.com and social media channels has lacked. Please know that it was never my intention not to bring you the latest news in Louisiana high school sports.

Due to the damages to our home and to our city, we have relocated for the time being and are now in the process of getting back to some sense of normalcy.

With that said, I wanted to let everyone know that our coverage will be minimal for the time being but we will try to bring you as much as we can. I will also try to provide as much content on our social media channels as time allows.

However, we will continue to provide updated, daily power ratings for select sports including Football and Volleyball this fall. So, be sure to follow the website daily to get updated power ratings and district standings.

In times that we are not able to provide the most updated coverage, please follow The Advocate’s Robin Fambrough and Ken Trahan’s CrescentCitySports.com. These are some great people and the best prep writers in the state and have been so kind as to show me the way through my GeauxPreps journey.

My family thanks you for your patience and support through these difficult times. But please know that we are constantly thinking of you as well and are working to get back to providing the same great coverage as before.

I also ask that you continue to pray for Southwest Louisiana as the people in that area rebuild their homes and businesses. The strongest storm ever to hit Louisiana soil has caused so much heartache and many losses for the place that my family calls home. It hurts to know that there are so many more out there who are struggling to survive. Please pray for those people.

Again, thank you so much for your continued support.

Regards,

Hunter Bower
