John Curtis’ Ina Smith Named Volleyball Player of the Week

Player of the Week: Ina Smith, John Curtis Christian – MB – Sophomore

This week, GeauxPreps.com is proud to announce John Curtis sophomore Ina Smith as our Volleyball Player of the Week, a distinction presented by Lafayette Travel. Ina Smith’s remarkable performance on the court has earned her this coveted honor.

Smith’s week on the volleyball court was nothing short of extraordinary, contributing significantly to her team’s perfect 7-0 record, including a triumphant victory in the H.L. Bourgeois tournament. The Lady Patriots, led by Smith’s impressive skills, left an indelible mark by sweeping all six of their tournament opponents.

A standout statistic from Smith’s exceptional week was her remarkable .438 hitting percentage. This incredible accuracy, combined with her consistently powerful play, translated into an average of 3.1 kills per set. Her prowess at the service line was equally impressive, tallying a total of 17 aces throughout seven matches. Beyond her offensive capabilities, Smith showcased her defensive prowess by recording 26 crucial digs throughout the week.

Ina Smith’s impact on the court was undeniable, elevating her team’s performance to new heights. Her ability to excel in various aspects of the game, from powerful kills to precision serving and steadfast defense, solidified her selection as the Volleyball Player of the Week.
