Lacassine’s Moore, Loranger’s Barthelemy Earn Weekly Visit Lake Charles Basketball Honors

Girl’s Player of the Week: Myan Barthelemy, Senior, Point Guard, Loranger

Stat Line (Jan. 23-28): 20.0 PPG; 12.0 RPG; 10.0 APG

Barthelemy can do it all for the Loranger girl’s basketball squad and proved it last week as she averaged a triple-double in two games while reaching an impressive milestone. The senior point guard joined her school’s 1,000-point club in a district win against Salmen last week after sinking 26 points. On the week, Barthelemy averaged 20 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to help keep the Wolves in the race for the District 8-4A title.

Boy’s Player of the Week: Gavin Moore, Senior, Forward, Lacassine

Stat Line (Jan. 23-28): 25.0 PPG; 11.0 RPG; 4.0 APG

Gavin Moore has played an essential part in helping Lacassine keep an impressive winning streak intact including averaging a double-double in victories last week. The senior forward averaged 25 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and drew seven charges to help the Cardinals to wins against J.S. Clark and Episcopal of Acadiana to move the program’s win streak to 12 consecutive games.
