LHSAA Outdoor State Meet Concludes With 4A & 5A Championships

BATON ROUGE – The 2023 LHSAA Track and Field State Meet concluded Saturday with the crowning of champions in Class 4A and 5A.
In Class 4A, Westgate took home the boys title for the third year in a row with a total of 68 points while Tioga finished second with 59 points. Huntington took the crown on the girls side for the first time since 1993 with a dominant 87 points West Feliciana’s 52.
In Class 5A, Catholic of Baton Rouge repeated as boys champion with 68 points while Edna Karr finished runner-up. In the women’s division, Zachary and Scotlandville shared state championship honors as both finished with 70 points each.
