The semifinal field is set in the 2022 LHSAA boys and girls soccer championship following the completion of the quarterfinal round on Wednesday.

In the boy’s division, four defending champions hope to punch their ticket back to Hammond in hopes of holding championship gold high again.

In Division II, Ben Franklin prevented defending champion Holy Cross from a fifth-consecutive state title as the Falcons scored a 1-0 upset victory Wednesday night.

On the girl’s side, St. Thomas More and University Lab aim to repeat as champions in their respective divisions. The Lady Cougars and their opponent, Neville, have not given up a goal throughout the postseason.

In Division III University Lab will host Archbishop Hannan with both squads combining for 16 goals scored in the playoffs.
