LHSAA Special Meeting Voting Results

In a pivotal moment for Louisiana high school sports, the official voting results from Tuesday’s special meeting to approve the “Select” definition have been unveiled.

Out of 404 member schools, an impressive 381 were present at the meeting. The decision was clear, with 260 voting representatives casting their votes in favor of the measure, while 126 stood in opposition.

The 23 schools not in attendance included Block, Central-Jonesville, Crescent City, Delhi, East Feliciana, First Baptist Christian, Glen Oaks, Grand Isle, International-NO, Jefferson Rise, Jewel Sumner, La. School for Deaf, La. School for Visually Impaired, Living School-NO, Lycee Francais, N.O. Charter Science & Math, New Living Word, Northside Christian, Notre Dame, Patterson, St. Katharine Drexel, Tensas and Westminster Christian.
