LHSAA Tennis Divisions I & II Thursday Results

MONROE – The LHSAA State Tennis Tournament continued Thursday with Divisions I and II turning in exciting performances that kept each field within reach of championship gold.
In Division I, Brother Martin leads the boys division with 11 total points with Jesuit lingering behind with 10 points. Brother Martin’s Mitchell Armbruster and Jesuit’s Joshua Verges are set to dual in the semifinal round on Friday while each team has a doubles duo competing for valuable championship points.
The Division I girls tournament is highlighted by St. Joseph’s Academy who totaled 11 points Thursday while Barbe trails behind in second place with eight points. Ella Mancuso leads the singles race for St. Joseph’s while the Redstickers have a pair of doubles squads competing in the semifinal round.
In a tight race for the Division II boys title, St. Thomas More compiled 14 points behind a strong performance from three of its doubles teams on Friday while Jackson McCrory is set to compete in the singles semifinal round.
The girls Division Ii tournament was dominated by the Willow School’s 12 point performance with two singles and a pair of doubles team advancing to semifinal action. Vandebilt Catholic is on the trail with eight total team points.
