BATON ROUGE – LHSAA Executive Director Eddie Bonine released a letter to parents & student-athletes Wednesday evening regarding the LHSAA’s commitment to high school sports being played this fall.
Bonine stated that the association would not cancel fall sports unless schools are closed or the pandemic dictates that it is not safe to hold athletic activities.
Bonine wrote the letter informing the public that the association had received numerous emails from concerned students around the state not to cancel fall sports. Bonine made the suggestion that parents, student-athletes and others also need to direct their concerns to Governor Jon Bel Edwards, state and local legislators and other government officials.
