Louisiana High School Tennis Champions Crowned in Divisions III & IV Showdown

MONROE – The final day of the LHSAA Divisions III & IV Boys and Girls state tennis tournament brought a thrilling conclusion to the competition, showcasing outstanding talent and fierce determination on the courts.

In Division III Boys, St. Louis Catholic continued their dominance as they clinched their fourth consecutive state title, reaffirming their stronghold in Louisiana tennis. Benjamin Reinauer of St. Louis Catholic emerged as the Singles Champion, displaying remarkable skill and composure throughout the tournament. Reinauer’s stellar performance secured victory over a formidable opponent, Jett Nguyen of ARCA, who showcased impressive resilience as the Singles Runner-Up.

In the Doubles category, Cameron Brown and Duke Stein of University Lab claimed the championship title, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and precision on the court. Despite a valiant effort from Ravi Ahuja and James Graf of Loyola Prep, Brown and Stein showcased their prowess to secure victory as the Doubles Champions.

The Division III Girls competition saw University Lab emerge as the dominant force, capturing both the Singles and Doubles championship titles. Mary Longmire clinched the Singles Championship for University Lab, showcasing her finesse and determination throughout the tournament. Longmire’s victory was complemented by the Doubles triumph of Lauren Longmire and Zoe Stein, further solidifying University Lab’s position as the top contender in Division III Girls tennis.

In Division IV Boys, Vermilion Catholic emerged victorious, claiming the state team championship title with a commendable performance. Patrick LaForge of St. Martin’s showcased his skill and resilience en route to clinching the Singles Championship, while Noah Trawick and David Daly of Ascension Episcopal secured victory in the Doubles category.

The Division IV Girls competition witnessed a thrilling battle for supremacy, with Vermilion Catholic emerging triumphant as the state team champions. Paras Odudu of St. Frederick exhibited remarkable talent and determination to clinch the Singles Championship, while Emma Williams and Ali Broussard of Vermilion Catholic secured victory in the Doubles category.
