Louisiana Prep Football Squads Highlight MaxPreps Top 100 Winningest Programs List

With the high school football season starting to ramp up, GeauxPreps.com wanted to highlight the programs who sit atop the winningest programs in the country.

Topping the list for Lousiana is Haynesville High School who, according the MaxPreps, is listed as the 12th winningest football program in the nation with a record of 835-302-34. Since its first season in 1907, the Golden Tornado has become the state’s all-time winningest program and also covets 17 state championships. Haynesville moved up two spots from last year’s list after finishing 7-3 in 2020.

Coming in at No. 49 is Neville High School, who owns a 771-259-20 record, according the national prep sports website. With 12 state championships to its credit, the Tigers remain among the top elite football programs in the nation and are coming off a 7-3 campaign in 2020.

Jesuit High School of New Orleans is also mentioned on the list at No. 77 with 730 victories.

Valdosta High School in Georgia leads the all-time list with 932 victories while Male-Louisville of Kentucky is second with 914.
