In a move that will send ripples through the Catholic League, Jahkeem Stewart, the top-ranked 2026 prep prospect in the nation, has unenrolled from St. Augustine and is now set to join Edna Karr.
Known as “Thanos” for his dominant presence on the field, Stewart is ranked by On3, ESPN, and Rivals as the No. 1 player in the country.
Jeremiah Gray of G_Sportz first reported the news.
The 6-foot-6, 270-pound defensive lineman boasts offers from LSU, Alabama, USC, Texas, and a host of others.
Stewart’s imposing skills and ability to disrupt offenses will significantly bolster Edna Karr’s defense as they push toward a state championship in 2025.
According to Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman, Stewart will be ineligible to play this season for the Cougars.
The Catholic League will undoubtedly feel the impact of Stewart’s departure from St. Augustine, as his addition to Edna Karr will strengthen their position beginning next year.
