2022 Preview
Live Oak enters a rebuilding year with a majority of its young team expected to fill key positions.
With 14 seniors returning as well as 10 combined total starters, head coach Blane Westmoreland looks to keep stocking up on experience and talent while facing a loaded schedule.
The Eagles will have sophomore Sawyer Pruitt take over the play calls under center while just four starters return from a year ago. On defense, seniors Caleb Smith and David Voorhies will be one of the few veterans looked to for leadership on that side of the ball after losing five starters in 2021.
On the 2022 schedule, Live Oak opens the season with a pair of home games against Belaire and Dunham before heading to Bonnabel and St. Helena. The Eagles will finish their pre-district slate at home against John F. Kennedy.
In league action, Denham Springs and East Ascension will make the trip to Eagle Stadium while Live Oak travels to Dutchtown, Walker and St. Amant.
