2022 Preview

After navigating through a grueling non-district schedule, the Griffins hit their stride in late 2021 and finished with a share of the District 1-4A title.

The Griffins saw a multitude of young players step up and assume leadership and playmaking responsibility heading into this season. A team led by Dennis Dunn is sure to be prepared to meet high expectations laid upon them at the opening of each year.

With a new quarterback and a new offense that can spread defenses thin, North DeSoto looks to improve on a heartbreaking second round exit at the hands of their bitter rivals, Northwood of Shreveport.

The defense will remain the hallmark of the Griffins football team anchored by linemen Marques Hampton and Kaleb Carter despite losing leading tackler in Evan Howe.

North DeSoto opens the year at home against Class 5A Airline before an out-of-state road trip to Center, TX the following week. In their final non-district test of the season, the Griffins will take on Loyola in Stonewall.

In district play, the Griffins hit the road for contests against Minden, Woodlawn-SH, Evangel and Bossier while playing hosts to B.T. Washington and Huntington. They will close out the regular season with a rematch of last year's Class 4A second-round game with Northwood in Stonewall on Nov. 4.
