Team roster
The key to the 2022 football season for Notre Dame will be one of gaining experience quickly.
Veteran coach Louis Cook will have to replace some key positions which could provide a challenge in some early big-game showdowns but one positive is that those replacements will be juniors and seniors.
On offense, the Pios return three starters but bring back a majority of an experienced line. The key will be the new starter at quarterback in Aiden Mouton who should provide solid and consistent play. Defensively, with only two starters left from a year ago, Notre Dame will rely on a lot of replacements growing up quickly, although most have logged in valuable playing time over the course of their prep career.
If the Pios can stay healthy and tread above a difficult schedule, expect them to be back in the mix as a state title contender in 2022.
