2022 Preview
The Green Wave enters a rebuilding phase after a memorable season culminated with a trip to the Class 5A title game a year ago.
Ponchatoula welcomes rookie head coach Trey Willie following the departure of Hank Tierney to Archbishop Shaw while the team looks to replace 14 starters.
Although there was a huge loss of starters, the Green Wave returns 36 letterwinners who are expected to step up and provide in a huge way. Willie believes that the talent returning can help place Ponchatoula into the middle of the District 6-5A race as well as another deep run in the postseason
Offensively, with just three starters returning, Ponchatoula's quarterback Nolan Tribble returns to lead the unit while Bishop Davis will take over the rushing duties. On defense, the Green Wave must replace six starters.
