2022 preview

The Wolves advanced into the postseason for the third consecutive year in 2021 under head coach Kaine Guidry. A return trip to the Class 4A playoffs this season will be a huge accomplishment in itself if the team can remain healthy.

Although Rayne returns a lot of production on offense, depth could become an issue midway through the season and any significant injuries could plague any attempt at a district title or playoff appearance.

"If we can stay healthy we have an opportunity to compete in every game," said Guidry. "We are not very deep and we are a few injuries away from having to play some very inexperienced kids."

The Wolves return six starters on offense as junior quarterback Dylan Judice (1,800 yards, 20 TDs) and senior tailback Darian Chevalier (878 yards, 9 TDs) look to lead an explosive unit in the backfield while sophomore receiver Kylin Wheeler, 802 yards, 12 TDs receiving) prepares for a breakout junior season. On defense, Guidry and staff continue to work on solidifying the secondary but are excited about the front seven led by senior linemen Jamari Eaglin and Ganon Venable.
