2022 Preview
Two years removed from a hurricane devastating the Lake Charles area, Sam Houston hopes to move past a rebuilding season in 2021.
The Broncos are a very young but very motivated football team looking for a good bounce back in a tough district. With 12 total starters returning, head coach Chad Davis hopes to get his team back on track.
However, there will be no easy games to get his team ready for a very busy district slate as Sam Houston makes the trip to take on Many in Week 1 followed by district contests at New Iberia, Sulphur, Carencro and Southside while playing host to Barbe, Comeaux, Acadiana and Lafayette.
Leading the charge on offense will be the likes of senior tailback Dennis Gardere while the defense will be anchored by linebackers Jamorian Jackson and Wyatt Fontenot as well as lineman Josh Lemonier.
