2022 Preview
New head coach Patrick Clarkston teaks over a Slaughter squad that, for the first time in the young history of the program, will field 40 or more kids on its team. And with just 6 seniors lost to graduation, expectations are high around the community in 2022.
Although the Knights lost three seniors to the college ranks, the team has a good amount of experience returning including an offensive line that has grown in size along with a backfield that will showcase more speed.
Eight starters return on the defensive side of the ball which gives Slaughter some depth as it faces a tough district closer to the end of the regular season as Kentwood rejoins Class 1A and last year's Division IV champion Southern Lab looks to repeat.
