2022 Preview

A rebuilding project is in order up front on the offensive side while most of Slidell's strength resides on the defensive side of the ball as the Tigers prepare for a challenging 2022 season.

With 7 full-time starters returning from last year's squad that reached the playoffs and a few others who played quality minutes, the Tigers will be experienced defensively but the focus will primarily be on developing a young offense.

Depth is what second-year coach Malter Scobel and his staff have focused on during the summertime. For a second straight year, Slidell we have to replace four of their five offensive line spots. Scobel has been working some experienced defensive linemen into those spots during summer drills to prepare better for the season.

Senior quarterback Luke Guidry (1,014 yards, 6 TDs) returns along with a cast of skill players who are tasked with holding down the offense until the lineman become more experience as the season progresses.
