2022 Preview
Zachary Leger's expectations are continuously rising just two seasons in as head coach at St. Michael.
The Warriors won five ball games and advanced into the Division II playoffs in their first year under Leger and look to build upon that success this season with 24 lettermen returning. Although young, Leger believes that the team is close to having a true 11 starting lineup on each side of the ball.
Offensively, St. Michael brings back six starters from a year ago while the defense will have to rebuild its identity with just four returners coming back.
The Saints have elected to play up to Class 4A beginning in the 2022 season and will be a part of a competitive District 6-4A group that includes Brusly, Belaire, Broadmoor, Istrouma, McKinley, Plaquemine, Tara and West Feliciana.
