2024 LHSAA Prep Classic Kicks Off Thursday: Schedule, How to Watch, and GeauxPreps’ Live Coverage

NEW ORLEANS – The 44th edition of the LHSAA Prep Football Classic is set to begin Thursday as 16 teams from across the state of Louisiana are set to do battle for a chance to end a spectacular season by hoisting a state championship trophy.
GeauxPreps.com will be in attendance at the annual event to provide social media updates, stories, photos and other features for each of the eight games. Fans can follow along on Facebook, X, or Instagram by looking up @GeauxPrepsLA.
The Prep Classic opens up with the Select Division IV State Championship between Ouachita Christian and Vermilion Catholic at 12:00 p.m., followed by the Non-Select Division IV State Title game between South Plaquemines and Haynesville at 3:30. New this year, there will be a third game on Thursday night. Sterlington will square off with St. James for the Non-Select Division III State Title.
Friday’s slate includes three games starting with the Select Division II championship. #1 Archbishop Shaw will face #3 E.D. White at noon. The Select Division III state championship between Catholic-N.I. and Dunham follows at 3:30 p.m. while the showdown between Cecilia and top-seeded Franklinton is for the Non-Select Division II title is slated to kick off around 7 p.m.
The final day of the Prep Classic will only host 2 games this year. The Saints staff needs additional time to flip the dome for the their game against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. At noon, a battle of two undefeated powerhouses, #1 seed Edna Karr vs #2 Alexandria for the Select Division I State Championship.
This year’s event concludes with, Central-BR, in their first-ever trip to the Dome, looking to take down defending Non-Select Division I State Champion Ruston at 3:30.
How to watch
All eight contests will be live streamed for free via the LHSAA Network (Smart TV App – you must download app on smart tv, not available on phone) and for a fee on NFHS Network (Available on computer, mobile phone, etc.) The live stream will feature pre-game action, a full-live broadcast of each contest as well as postgame interviews with each winning team.

• An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.
• Additionally, the following items are also prohibited: animals (except service dogs), banners (large or in poor taste), containers of any kind, contraband, glass, laser pointers, noisemakers, outside food and drink, projectiles, sticks, bats, poles or clubs, video and audio recording devices, weapons, cameras with a lens over 6 inches, and any other item deemed inappropriate by management.
