2024 LHSAA State Tennis Tournament Monday Results

MONROE – The LHSAA State Tennis Tournament commenced its thrilling action on Monday, showcasing Divisions III & IV at the ULM campus in Monroe.

In Division III boys, St. Louis Catholic stormed ahead with an impressive tally of 8 points, with standout performances across both singles and doubles competitions. Meanwhile, Menard secured a commendable 6 points, setting up an intriguing battle for the championship title.

On the girls’ side of Division III, University Lab asserted dominance with a commanding 9 points, displaying formidable skill and determination. Newman put up a strong challenge, amassing 7 points, indicating an intense contest for the top spot.

The competition in Division IV boys saw Country Day and Vermilion Catholic tying at 7 points each, showcasing their prowess on the court. Christ Episcopal and St. Martin’s exhibited grit with 5 points each, promising a fierce competition in the days ahead.

In Division IV girls, Episcopal of Acadiana and Vermilion Catholic stood tall with 7 points apiece, demonstrating their capabilities early in the tournament. Louise McGehee remained close behind with 6 points, setting the stage for thrilling matchups in the upcoming rounds.

Action continues Tuesday for Divisions III and IV while Divisions I and II are set to compete Thursday and Friday.
