Leesville High School Announces 2024 Sports Hall of Fame Inductees

The Leesville High School Alumni Association announced its 2024 inductees into the Leesville High School Sports Hall of Fame: Faye Jeane West, Class of 1954, and Cecil Collins, Class of 1996.
Faye Jeane West
Faye Jeane West, who passed away in 2023, will be inducted posthumously for her outstanding basketball career, leading the Lady Wampus Cats to a 123-12 record during her time at Leesville. West was an All-State performer and team captain in both basketball and softball, making her the first Lady Wampus Cats basketball player to be inducted.
Cecil Collins
Cecil Collins, the most decorated running back in Leesville High School history, will also be honored. Collins set school records with nearly 8,000 rushing yards and 99 touchdowns, leading the Wampus Cats to their best football season ever in 1995. He earned All-State honors twice and helped the team reach the state championship game.
The induction ceremony will take place during LHS Homecoming on October 25-26 weekend where they will host Washington-Marion.
