Week 8: GeauxPreps names Football Players of the Week

Byrd’s Christian Maxie turned in a record-breaking performance to power the Yellow Jackets past Benton, 49-40.

The junior accounted for all seven of Byrd’s touchdowns, racking up 341 yards on 32 carries with six rushing scores and adding a 39-yard touchdown pass for good measure.

On the defensive side, Hannan’s Greyson Dupre was all over the field in the Hawks’ 49-28 win over Cohen.

The senior totaled 20 tackles, including 2 forced fumbles, and broke up a pass to lead a strong defensive showing for Hannan.
