2021 Trey Altick Prep Baseball Classic Set To Kick Off Thursday

MONROE – One of the largest high school baseball tournaments in Louisiana is set to make its return this weekend as the Trey Altick Prep Baseball Classic welcomes in a multitude of teams from across the state and even some out-of-state participants for the three-day event.

The annual tournament will see over 70 games played across 10 locations in the Northeast region of the state starting on Thursday and runs through Saturday evening.

Four state champions from 2019 will be in attendance at this year’s classic as Kinder, Ouachita Christian, St. Charles and Tioga will play each day while state finalists Opelousas Catholic and University will also participate.

Ticket prices will be $7 on Thursday and Friday while Saturday’s admission will cost $10 at any field.

The annual event has been held every year since 2006 and is played in memory of former Neville baseball player Trey Altick, who was killed in a tragic accident in 2008.
